Knife cut noodles are found throughout the continent of Asia. It stems from nomadic cookery which can be linked back to many different groups of people including Thea Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Malay, Indonesian, and many many more. Southeastern countries such as Singapore has adopted the knife cut noodles into a very popular convenience food. Still 100% made by hand, knife cut noodles are basically Asia's "fast" food; it's quite literally food that is made very fast.
